July has been an AMAZING month for Studio FBJ Seniors!! Thank you to all the ladies that came into the studio to get hair and makeup done and spend time with me getting your 2013 Senior photos! I had so much fun with all of you!! 
The Studio FBJ Difference for your Senior Session
Everything I have learned when it comes to marketing tells me that I need to "know" whats different about my business. I had to sit and think about this very question most recently. Competing for your business among the top senior photographers in the Richmond area is no easy feat in year -ONE! I had a small goal this year of just shooting a few Seniors. But this was blown away. Blown away because we have had such a huge voice from our Senior Model Team and friends that have spread the word about our studio! In seeing this happen, I have really begun to realize what is the true difference in Studio FBJ. It really helped answer my thoughts.

They have full control over what THEY would like to capture in their portraits. We talk about what suits them with personality and ideas, and drive to locations based on outfit choices, colors and personality-ideas!
They get a full blown model experience. It is a one of a kind session-every time. Built from scratch, every time because they build it together with me!

The "first" Studio FBJ Senior
This past March I met Paige. She was a Atlee High School Junior willing to meet with me to have pictures taken. I know she did not know much about me, or what I was doing. She was referred by a friend that works at the school. She was told that she would be getting photos in exchange for being a rep for my "brand new" photography portion of my business. I nervously took Paige over to the park and we took lots of photos:
This was my FIRST real Senior! I was so excited and I can say I was nervous! But we pulled it off. I look back now and although I love the photos still, they were with my old camera, on my KIT lens!!!!!
Fortunately she loved the photos and so did others!
Yesterday, I was thrilled when Paige came back to see me for her Drape session in studio. After I did her hair and makeup, I HAD to pull her outside for a QUICKIE fun shoot! She had no idea I was going to do this!
Thank you Paige, for taking a leap of faith on a new photographer and a new venture with me. Thank you for also being such a great senior rep and promoting STUDIO FBJ to all of your friends! It means so much!!!!!

Senior Sessions in FULL Swing at the Studio!
It has really been a BALL in the studio with all of the Seniors coming in for photos! I can hardly keep up with edits! I am so very excited that this has been such an amazing summer! I can not beleive that the studio is hosting ladies almost daily! Thank you all for contacting me and coming in for photos! I am having a blast! Chic Critique Fall Cover Contest
I knew I had to submit this photo to the Chic Critique Fall cover contest when i read that they want to showcase images for their fall cover with a fashion editorial feel (i.e. Vogue, Elle, W magazine covers).

Hanover High Senior Session with Brittany B!
Brittany was a joy to work with as one of my first Senior Ambassadors! We had so much fun at her spring shoot,and I could not wait to see her again for her Senior Photos! The first thing we did was go through all the clothing she brought and put together outfits! We had a blast doing that! Second, we decided on hair and makeup looks! After a quick studio session with her Drape photos, Brittany and I were off and spent a few hours around town getting some super shots for her Senior pics! Here is a itty bitty sneak peak!

Boy of the CORN
Yesterday, my new lens arrived on my door step! I could hardly wait to try it out and I needed a willing victim! So after the temperature went down to about 99, at 6:30 in the evening, my son Riley and I headed out to "the corn" on the next road. I would not say that he was "willing", but after a few promises of extra soda pop when we got home, he went along with the plan!
We fought bugs and I even got stung by a bee, but we were troopers! LOL. We spent about 15 min "in the corn" and jumped back into the cool air conditioning in the car.

Nothing like a Best Friends Session at the ever popular Sweet Frog to really get into the heart of Summer! My daughter and one of her best friends could not wait to get to Sweet Frog! Bringing to life the American Girl Doll!
Brooke was an AMAZING "American Girl Doll"! We really started the session with just a few ideas of what we would like to do, and ended up using the suitcase as inspiration! Brooke morphed into the well known American Girl Doll, once she was dressed with suit case in hand! We found a few great spots in the city to feature her look! Welcome to our living American Girl Doll story!
