A True Fall {like} Senior Session at Hollywood Cemetery!
I have never been to Hollywood Cemetery. Located in an almost hidden part of Richmond City, Hollywood Cemetery is hard to find! According to the website (this next part is borrowed-just say'n from http://www.hollywoodcemetery.org/about.html)
Hollywood’s paths wind through 135 acres of valleys, over hills, and beneath stately trees of natural beauty and tranquility. The architectural beauty of monuments, statues, buildings, fences, and tombs enhances the setting. That scene appears to be unplanned. Yet skillful design, faithful stewardship, and nature’s blessings have combined to make Hollywood perhaps America’s most historic and beautiful rural cemetery. These attributes have uplifted the spirits of thousands of visitors since 1849.
Truly amazing. 2013, Senior, Tori and I were super excited about our planned session to Hollywood that serves as the final resting place of two American presidents, six Virginia governors, two Supreme Court justices, twenty-two Confederate generals, and thousands of Confederate soldiers.
We took photos, under a gloomy sky that boasted a PERFECT setting for fall like photos in a CEMETERY!! WE had an amazing almost 5 hours of fun, creepiness, and history. WE learned about "the black dog" from a sweet Security Guard and overlooked Richmond City for a Beautiful View. These are just a few sneak peaks from a fab Sunday afternoon!

A richmond {city} session with Lauren
When choosing your session it is really important to try to let me know what your looking for! I try to find a spark in each of the locations that screams YOU! I am featuring Lauren today, 2013 Lee-Davis High Senior! Her shoot is a GREAT opportunity to showcase a fantastic 3-4 outfit session around the city. The sky is the limit and we had a great time traveling around to BRAND new locations!
Finding your passion, dream, or style
Lisa and I talked about one week before her shoot. I asked her what her style or passion was, "what do you want to capture about "you"! She explained that she really did not know exaclty what type of settings she wanted, but she loved to travel!
In talking to Lisa, I found out a few cool things that helped me with planning and coming up with ideas for her session!: Born in the Netherlands, she came here right after 9-11, When she was about 6 1/2 years old.
Lisa says "I adore traveling so I've been all over the US, my home country of course, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, and I'm going to the Caribbean this winter break to learn how to scuba dive! Next I'll be going with some friends all over Europe in the summer of 2013. This past summer, however, I stayed in the States going to San Francisco, the Grand Canyon, and Vegas. My bucket list is filled with places I must go, and I'm super determined to do every single thing on that list!"
WOW!!! So I am thinking, I really need to find something for her to remember for her photos, something that captured her essence! I hope you enjoy her set of photos, we had an amazing session!
