I could not be happier for my friend Brittany Brooker!
Brittany called me about 2 months ago and asked if the Studio would sponsor her for the Miss Mechanicsville pageant! I worked with Brittany in the studio on several different occasions preparing for Miss Mechanicsville! The evening of Interview I did her hair and makeup and consulted for wardrobe, then again on the night of the pageant she came in for hair and makeup. I knew she could do it! Congratulations to Brittany on winning Miss Mechanicsville!

It was amazing to have Miss United States in the studio! When I think back to the fact the I just launched Pageant Couture in January, with the help of Ashley Greenfield, and Jamie Hughes, the past few months have really been a dream come true. Its been a whirlwind and I just love it!

Just after Spring Break, I had an amazing shoot with Junior Teen United States, Paige Holloway, and Miss United States, Whitney Miller! Both of the ladies were so nice and we had a fantastic time! Here are a few photos of Paige and I will post Whitney on Wednesday!

Spring Break became even more fun when I got a call that Little Miss United States, Alyson McNair, was in town and was planning to come to the studio! She was so much fun, and such a model! She is stunning and super sweet! I so enjoyed my day getting to know her and her aunt! Below are a few studio photos, and then we went outside to play a bit!

Lastly, had to put this super whimsey pose together! She is a doll!

Mrs. Virginia America weekend in {South Hill}

It all started on Friday morning, April 5th. I traveled to South Hill, Virginia to do hair and makeup for a few contestants for the Mrs. Virginia-America Pageant and also for, Brandi, Mrs Virginia 2012. I am also the hair and makeup sponsor for the winners shoot with photographer, Larry Wright, Sunday morning.
I am a former Mrs. Virginia (2004) so it is like a big sisterhood coming to the pageant and I love to see all of my friends and its such a warm welcome.
Larry Wright is the official photographer of the pageant. He is excellent and caught several shots (that I have borrowed from the Mrs. Virginia facebook page).

Congratulations to the winner, Erin Brown, Mrs. Virginia America 2013.

Although I do sponsor the pageant and the winner for a photoshoot at the studio(Studio FBJ), I was unsure if Erin would be able to get to the studio during her year of reign, being that she lives so far west in the state. So I had to take her photo, after we were finished, just so i could have something of my own to put on my web site!!

{April} came in like a LION!

Holly April, Batman!

The first two weeks of April was filled with amazing memories both from my little beach trip for Spring Break with my daughter Madison and our friends Regina and Brianna to Mrs. Virginia America pageant and the crowing of a new 2013 Mrs. Virginia, to having Little Miss, Junior Teen and Miss United States 2012 in the Studio. Model shoots and High School Senior shoots rounded out the two weeks!!
Plus... I registered with fellow photographers Kristie Bradley and her sister for the Seniorologie Shoot Out in beautiful Charleston South Carolina in September...EKKKKK!!!

I think I just may have to blog about the entire two weeks in more than one post!! Its just too much to share! So I am back!! I can't wait to share some of the stunning photos I have gotten over the past few weeks! Stay tuned for Wednesday when I share my Mrs. Virginia-America photos!
